Approach

I went self-employed in 2017, after redundancy made the decision for me, and built this business up from one camera and a lot of stubbornness. It now covers weddings and elopements, family, maternity and newborn portraits, headshots, commercial and property work, private tours and landscape workshops.

The photographs are natural rather than staged. I will put you somewhere the light is good and then largely leave you to it, because the frames worth keeping tend to happen in between the ones you asked for. Nobody gets made to stand still and smile at a lens for an hour.

I live on the Black Isle, a few minutes north of Inverness and right on the North Coast 500. Most of the Highlands is comfortably within reach, and I travel the length of Scotland for weddings and commercial commissions.
